Welcome to Jun Gu's Personal Website!
I am Jun GU, who was born in Suzhou, China, and currently a PhD student of Accounting and Finance. I am taking my study and research at Lancaster University Management School, United Kingdom. It is a wonderful city that brings me good courage and necessary quietness of learning how the real world looks like and why. Though being settled in a small village that is far from the metropolis, it brings me far from the unnecessary competition and shadows. Here what I want is only life and brightness.
Coming to Lancaster is undoubtedly prestigious to me, and a milestone for both my career and life. Being exotic in a western world that is fulfilled with good national wealth and excellent living condition both provides me the peaceful live that do not have to worry about basic necessities, and an opportunity to compare it with my past life of two decades, which would be significant and interesting.
Where the improvement of knowledge is and how it works are both fundamental questions for every scholar, though they are not that easy to provide an answer, especially for a rookie like me. Very fortunately, I am working in the center of the recent financial crisis (2007-2010), and I have experienced the boost of East Asia in past two decades, they should as I believe, and will always provide me the resource of thinking and studying.
Being both a student and researcher in the field of business world, I am fortunate. Unlike some scholars in science and technology that are focusing on the constant world, I have to take the changes that are happening in every second. Why? Because for both my study and research, they are not dealing with the static rules and structures. Instead, they are occupied with the most unpredictable staff in this world - the relations between the inner world of human beings and the money!
This website has twofold effects. I would briefly provide basic information of mine, including CVs, publications and some codes that would not against the property rights acts, as well as the link to my personal blog. However, please understand that most articles in my blog would be in Chinese, though some of them is really written in English.
